About Me

Welcome to Serene Movement!

I’m Serena, a Registered Kinesiologist (R.Kin) with a passion for helping individuals achieve lasting health benefits and improve functional performance.

My approach is grounded in evidence-based methods that prioritize how you move, feel, and live—not just how you look. I create personalized fitness programs that focus on long-term health, injury prevention, and overall well-being, whether you're recovering from an injury, managing a chronic condition, or looking to enhance your everyday movement.

Serene Movement Principles

  • Sustainable

I believe in fostering lasting health through intentional movement. Rather than chasing fleeting trends, my programs are designed to promote long-term well-being, focusing on building strength and mobility that last a lifetime.

  • Functional

Fitness should support your daily life. By improving functional movement patterns, I help you perform everyday tasks with ease, reduce injury risk, and enhance overall physical capacity for long-term vitality.

  • Joyful

Fitness should be something you enjoy and look forward to. I design programs that not only support your unique fitness goals but also make movement a joyful part of your daily routine.

My Background and Training

I completed a Bachelors of Kinesiology (B.Kin) and Masters in Medical Science (MSc) at the University of Toronto. My graduate thesis explored the effects of physical activity on cardiac function and quality of life in women with breast cancer.
